We sing, play, talk and smash sticks and stones; we ferment, grind, cook acorns; we observe tiny living beings and narrate the invisible journey, which land biomes steadily tread towards becoming resilient old growth forests. In one place alone, all things meet - a lab, which is a music studio, which is a kitchen - different materials and tools flow together with different ways of seeing, thinking and feeling.
From lengthy research and a lot of experiments on the matters of the great ecological succession, we also now have some ideas about how the universe itself emerged, and how life as well, speaks to us in the language of patterns and institutions, including those at subatomic levels. Ultimately, we seek ways in which these entities can help us rethink models of institution-making. We mix music and food to build narratives on physics, biochemistry, microbiology and ecology, inevitably leading us to the social and political fields. |
